Internship Program for Default Servicing
Administrative/Paraprofessional Internship Program
In an effort to foster meaningful development of administrative and paraprofessional staff in our community, Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP takes advantage of the unique opportunity that we have in the legal industry to engage interns from accredited paralegal and other similar educational degree programs which require on-site internship components in order for students to receive their degree, to ensure that they gain real work experience within the context of our Default Services Department. The internship program allows candidates the ability to be placed within the firm and gain tangible skills and valuable experience while meeting their degree requirements. As part of this formal program, the firm provides these interns with direct supervision, hands on training, job shadowing, and, in many cases, actual client contact while learning the various duties and responsibilities of the administrative and paraprofessional staff within the Default Services Department. In addition, each intern will receive written mid-point and final evaluations, as well as informal feedback throughout their internship. This feedback is provided to ensure that each intern understands their individual contribution to the collective work of the Department and recognizes opportunities for continued professional growth and development.
