CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES


Administrative Assistant

Responsible for managing incoming communication and correspondence. This includes handling incoming calls and processing the daily mail workload.  Also, responsible for making travel arrangements.  In addition the assistant will assist several attorneys with various tasks throughout the day as requires.  Additional duties as assigned. This position requires at least one year of legal secretarial experience in a law firm setting. In addition, applicants must type a minimum of 60 wpm; have experience with transcription and familiarity with the legal system, i.e. how to file documents with the various courts, i.e. Federal, State and Appellate Division; and working knowledge of legal terms. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as Adobe or PDFDocs. 


Motions Clerk

The Motion Processing Clerk is responsible for ensuring that our motions are properly processed after they are granted by the court. The Clerk will process the motion team incoming mail on a daily basis, this will include original signed orders, filed documents and communications from the court. The Clerk will identify upcoming deadlines and appearances and is responsible for properly escalating and calendaring the same. In addition the Clerk will draft motion related documents such as notices of entry and notices of withdrawal. Running Department of Defense and skip trace searches is a regular job duty. Daily correspondence with clients, attorneys and courts, including document requests, responding to case status inquiries etc. will take place via fax, e-mail, letter, and phone. Constant updating of the client and case management system is required. Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor and team lead at any given time. 

 


Human Resources Director

The Human Resources director is responsible for developing, organizing and ensuring effective implementation of all personnel programs. Advising all levels of Management on problem resolution, discipline and terminations. Working with Attorneys, Managers and Employees to improve work relationships, build moral and increase productivity and retention. Engaging in compensation administration and benchmarking as well as benefit design and administration. Overseeing the implementation of firm-wide attorney and staff development and other training programs. Developing strategic staffing plans that effectively optimize talent. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees. Updating firm management on local, state and federal labor laws and share potential impact on the firm. Oversees all other components of the firm's Human Resources Department.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of seven years progressive Human Resources Management experience, preferable in a law firm or other professional services organization. Strong client service focus with the ability to establish credibility and build strong relationships at all levels of the firm and with external constituents. Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills. Demonstrated a high level of ethical conduct and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and Excel. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required, PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.


Settlement Conference Clerk

The purpose of the Settlement Conference Department is to facilitate the loss mitigation process within the context of a foreclosure action. The primary objective is to assist with gathering documentation and communicating with the borrower or his/her counsel in order to assist with rendering a determination regarding whether there is home retention options available to a borrower in order to forego the foreclosure process.  The Settlement Conference Department is responsible for calendaring of conferences, gathering documents, preparing files for the appearing attorney, and scheduling appearing attorneys. Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor and team lead at any given time.
